Hi Calgary!

Wednesday, April 1, 2015
(from 6:00 – 8:30 at the Calgary French and International School, 700 77 St. S.W) is the last info session regarding the proposed development of the East Paskapoo Slopes (AKA Eastlands). East Paskapoo slopes is among the best singletrack in Calgary where many cyclists, walkers and runners enjoy the outdoors. It is located just East of Canada Olympic Park, near 16 Avenue NW and Sarcee Trail.

Trinity Development Group’s plan is to develop part of the East Paskapoo Slopes/Eastlands and put up a mall, townhouses/condos, retail, office space, hotels and parking. A concept plan of the development can be found here:

Trinity Development may give some of the land back to the city and it may turn into a park, your opinion on the land and its use matters to the city. Attending the info session on April 1, 2015 would be beneficial to providing feedback to the city.

June 20, 2015 is the target date for the Public Hearing of Council, which you may attend and speak to the council for 5 minutes or write to the council, before they finalize the decision.

Additionally, to provide the city with input/feedback, please the City of Calgary website at:

Some people want to save the slopes and have created a website:

SaveTheSlopes | Vision?History?Pride?Quality of Life?For our Kid's Kids?This is YOUR Town?what's your vision?

It would be useful to converse with the city and let them know what you would like to happen to the land and/or parts of it, should the development proceed or not.

I will be at the last information session, hope you will join me!
