    Best tires for BC?

My wife and I are planning a vacation to southwest BC in July- likely including Campbell River, Powell River, Squamish, and Whistler. While we plan on a couple days of lift access riding at Mt Washington and Whistler, a bulk of our riding will be more XC oriented.

As this trip gets closer I'm making some upgrades- next item on the the list is tires.
What tires would you recommend for this riding in this region?

Depends on whether you want to be equipped to ride in wet conditions (which can be anytime, what with it being a temperate rain forest): For dry&wet conditions: Kenda Nevegal 2.35 Stick-E rubber, Continental Mountain King 2.4 or X-King 2.2 Protection with Black Chili rubber, Maxxis Ardent MaxxPro 2.25. The bigger tires will allow you to run lower pressures which grip better on wood bridges, roots and rocks.
