    Stan's "Racing Formula" Sealant

Stan's "Racing Formula", as seen in the latest MBAction- No reference on the website, anybody know what it is, and when it will be available?

Had a great year training and racing Stan's in '03- not a single flat in training and over 20 races. Hence, the interest in a "Racing Formula" - even better?

    thanks!

Fascinating I wonder what is better about it, or is the change one more for marketing purposes.

I wonder if there are bigger bits and pieces floating in the formula.

It is different than the standard sealant and at this point, I don't believe Stan has any plans to provide it to anyone but the pro racers. Reason being the cost to make it is considerably higher than the standard.

    hmmm-

this only makes me more curious.High cost as a deterent to sell it seems kind of strange in an environment of weight and race obsessed (that's me) folks willing to burn money for whatever performance gains can be made. Stan- if you are reading, here's at least one semi-pro wannabe pro who would love to buy and use the racing formula. Hell, sell it at a premium and call us suckers for buying it, I don't care.

What is so different and expensive about the formula? Gold flakes? Made with fine Vodka? Hand crafted and aged in small oak casks?

Maybe it's just mixed up with Slime. That certainly would make it cost prohibitive for him to sell.

At the National at Waco this weekend I was standing next to one of the Maxxis riders and over heard him talking about a racing formula.

What I got from it is it contains fiber glass or something in it.

Then you'd better just buy hutchinson special sealent (bleue one).

It contains little fibers th close the holes and doesn't dry.
