    Nylon Top Cap

When looking for a canti-V adapter I stumbled on this Dia Compe nylon top cap. Its only $1 and seeing as its made of nylon I figure its got to be light. Anyone weighed one before?

But the bling factor of a custom cap more than makes up the weight gain from a nylon one in perceived cyclist strength. Oh snap, this is WW, my bad.

The Aheadsets always used to come standard with those nylon plastic top caps... its only recent years where they went to alloy top caps by default for even cheap aheadsets. But then not all alloy caps are created equal, some are heavier than others. The plastic ones didn't do anything better or worse, they just were thicker and weren't all glossy and colour annodized.

Edit : I just weighed a dozen top caps... most of the alloy ones for 1 1/8 I weighed were 9g, a couple were 7g, one was 10g, and one was 12g. All the DiaCompe Nylon topcaps were 8g.
