My race bikes are almost ready to roll

Well, they've been almost ready for a while. I've been waiting for the frames for a while, and I was going to post pics and specs when they are all ready, but I need to relieve some stress, so I thought I would post up the specs here while I am still waiting for the frames.

Basically, I am building up raceday only bikes for myself and my wife. KHS is our team sponsor, and we are waiting on our Alite Team frames for 2008. I realize that the 2008 Alite Team bikes are rolling, but the framesets aren't available yet. The goal for the bikes is uberlight fast race bikes.

    Here's my parts list:
    Stem: FSA OS115
    Handlebar: Alpha Q Riser
    Grips: Velo Foamies
    Brakeset: Shimano XTR
    Shifters: Shimano XTR Pods
    Front Derailleur: Shimano XTR
    Rear Derailleur: Shimano XTR
    Cables: NOKON OF COURSE!!!
    Cassette: Shimano Dura Ace 11-27
    Chain: KMC X9SL-GOLD!!!
    Headset: FSA IS
    Seatpost: KCNC Ti Pro Lite
    Saddle: Selle Italia SLR
    Crankset: Shimano XTR
    Pedals: Crank Bros. Eggbeater Ti
    Tires: Schwalbe Furious Fred
    Wheels: Mavic CrossMax SLR
    Fork: Ritchey WCS

    Here's my wifes bike:
    Stem: Alpha Q
    Handlebar: Alpha Q Flat
    Grips: Velo Foamies
Brakeset: Hayes Stroker Carbon, 6" front, 5" back
    Shifters: Shimano XTR Pods
    Front Derailleur: Shimano XTR
    Rear Derailleur: Shimano XTR Shadow
    Cables: Nokon
    Cassette: Shimano XTR 11-34
    Chain: KMC X9SL
    Headset: FSA IS
    Seatpost: KCNC Ti Pro Lite
    Saddle: WTB Devo
    Crankset: Shimano XTR
    Pedals: Crank Bros. Eggbeater SL
    Tires: NoTubes Crow
    Wheels: American Classic Disc/NoTubes Olympic
    Fork: White Bros. Carbon

According to my spreadsheets (We all make the WW spreadsheet, right?) both builds should come in at about the 17 and 3/4 pound mark. That's all according to spreadsheets, we'll see when I actually get to build them up. I dream about them every night. We have all the parts for them sitting in a box at the shop. I play with all the parts all the time. The frames should be showing up any day, or week now.

Feel free to ask weights of any of the parts, as I've weighed every single one. Most impressive was the Alpha Q flat bar which came in at 120 grams. Also, the Alpha Q stems come in at 104 grams for a 110mm. On my wifes bike, our original goal was to build a sub 20 pound bike with a suspension fork. We even have a Fox F80 for it, but we decided to go lighter and throw the White Bros. rigid carbon instead on it. Hey, they're race bikes, forget about comfort, right?

By the way, I suck at racing in case you were wondering. I just like to build fun bikes. People always say, "Does it make you faster?" To be honest, it does make ME faster. Me on a lighter bike is faster than me on a heavier bike. So, yes, it does make me faster. Does it make me faster than you? Probably not.

Let us know what you think about the Ritchey fork once you've tried it.
