    Disc brakes smaller than 160mm?

Does anybody make a brake and rotor that is smaller than 160mm?? I'm not looking to save weight but lower the disc profile. I figured this would be the forum though to find some obscure part like that.

This is going to be going on my urban/dj bike so the rotor heating up isn't a problem as the majority of the braking will be on/off.
cycle tracks will abound in utopia.

Hope Mono Mini 140 mm rotor.
There is no added value to my participation - in fact, just more confusion.

You can sometimes use a front adapter on the rear. That will allow using the 140mm disc there. I've got Avid calipers and rotors from formula in 140mm and soon to get hope 140mm rotors.

Dunno about for the front though. Good luck.

Sorry, I should have specified... I'm only looking for the back brake. I'm not running a front brake.

I think the point was you can use a front wheel caliper adapter designed for 160mm rotors on the back with 140 mm rotors.

Yes, Formula made a 140 rear brake (not sure if it's still in production). I've been running a 140 Marta rear for a while. Rear lever with a front caliper and a Formula rotor, just requires 1mm shims so the caliper and rotor line up correctly.
