Bending a seat tube on purpose

Anyone know if a ritchey seat tube can be bent back slightly without damaging it?

I'm looking to set back my seatpost a little without buying one if i can help it.

    thanks

I think that would be firmly in the "false economy" category. The negative consequences of a fractured seat post are too high. Aluminium does not tolerate bending well, it work hardens, so you're very likely to start cracks by bending it back.

This doesn't sound like a good idea unless you really know what your doing.

I would spring for the setback post. It will only cost a fraction of what a quick trip to the ER would cost you.
