Could you just buy a scale and weigh everything yourself? I think that's what most of us weight weenies do.

I wouldn't mind knowing either, I have a fuel ex and everything that I've taken off so far has been grossly over advertised weight.

Using FireFox and the add on/extension "Translator" this site has a lot of good info on some things. The pics are nice.

I recall eBay had a set of Bontrager Rangers with Shimano XT disc hubs, weighing 1880 grams, for the wheelset. It's been long sold, however.

Hmm, I've checked ebay over and over, never found any bontrager rangers paired with anything. 1880 grams with XT disc hubs? Seems like there's something odd about that number, I thought the Mavic 717's with XT hubs were a bit heavier than that, and I don't know, but seems the 717's are lighter than the rangers.

dusthuffer, that thought had crossed my mind, but I was trying to hold off on the C-word until I found something cool... like UFO's snatching bikers from the Pacific Crest Trail, or the governments giant gmo dogs up by Dan's trail... (official disclaimer... I know nothing about the dogs. Honest.)

Measured my rear wheel on the ups scale at work and came up with 4lbs or 1814 grams. Subtracted 380g for the pg950 casette and 140 grams for the avid rotor and 6 bolts. Comes to 1294 for the rear with the skewer.

1265.81 for the front minus 140 for the rotor and bolts. 1125.81 with skewer Weighed this one on a postal scale.

Without the skewer 1045 for the front

    Shimano m-475 hubs
