Moran State Park Weekend, trail work, riding, camping

Evergreen MTB Alliance has scheduled a killer weekend of riding, trail work, and camping on Orcas Island, for the weekend of Friday, Sept. 14 - Sunday, Sept 16. The upper trails open to bikes on Saturday, so Friday will be scouting, setup, exploring, with some of the lower trails ridable.

I have reserved two campsites in the Northend Campground in Moran State Park, and will get more if a bunch of folks sign up on the Evergreen Calendar. The loose plan is to arrive Friday, set up, and do some recon on the trails, in preparation for a Saturday work party. Sunday will be a group ride on the awesome trail network of Mount Constitution.

We will have a bbq and refreshments saturday night at camp, following our work party.

There has been a long standing tradition of trail stewardship by the mountain biking community, keeping the Moran trails cherried out, and reminding all the trail users and land managers that we do good for the trails. Please help us build on the hard work that has been done in years past.

Please sign up as soon as you think you can make it so I can get enough campsites.
Details to come on the Evergreen Calendar, or get me at [email protected]

    cheers, Graham

Moran is a true gem. One of the trail systems that defines our state IMHO if at least for the fact that its out on the island. The views off Mt. Constitution are amazing and the trails are really fun. Hope lots of folks can make it out to this one.

One of the most beautiful parks for sure, shame we can't ride there in the summer.
