Why Mtn Bike racing is bad in SW Virginia

I know this is only one example, but it shows bad taste by East Coasters.
They scheduled the Rowdy Dog on the same day as the last race in the Derailer Series, Oct. 2nd. I for one would like to do both, but since I already have been racing in the Derailer Series I will finish with the Poor Mtn Hill Climb.
It is unsettling to me because of all the East Coasters that race in the series, and they knew months ago what the schedule was.
Too late now, but I wish they could have put it on a different weekend. There has to be a lot of riders who would have gladly plunked down the money to do both.
I love racing and have seen the Maxxis Southeast series and the Virginia points series both just disappear. I know it takes a lot to put a race on, and I would like to thank anyone who helps out, from volunteers to the sponsors. As seen by the Derailer Series this year, if you put a race on, they will come. The turnout is about double from last year.

i agree, i am pre-registered for the whole va derailer series and would like to compete in the rowdy dawg also but since there is a schedule conflict i will be doing the hill climb.
ya think they would plan it a little differently.

Is the glass half full or half empty?

Many racers complain there are not enough races in their area. Life is full of scheduling conflicts, be happy you've got what you do or next year someone may decide not to put on one of those races.
