    What is your ride?

I ride mostly Frederick and Germantown trails. But venture off to other places. I'm on a 29er trail hardtail. Looking to get a full suspension bike. What FS bike do you ride?

I don't, I love the hard tail bikes. I do ride a Flash lefty and love it, also a 2017 Farley7. Both are a lot of fun. I ride south from you . Bacon Ridge, Rosaryville. Am wanting to venture up your way just haven't had time. My buddy has a place that backs up to Shaffer's farm. Will probably get up there soon. I have done some riding in Harrisonburg Area. Massenutten .

Scheaffer is fun on a hardtail. I enjoy my hardtail but feeling more beat up the older I get after a ride. Im thinking I'll probably get something short travel in the back, longer in the front. The Smuggler has my interest.

I hear you. I am 59 and broke my back and tailbone about 2 years ago. I will probably have to go the fs route sooner or later. I just got a Farley 7 and like the way the fat tires absorb a lot of the pounding. It is also a pretty fast and aggressive bike. Handles real well.

Santa Cruz Bronson. Overkill for most everything in Maryland but Frederick stuff, but it climbs and pedals just fine for all that travel. I ride it everywhere.

Whyte T-129 RS here in Charlottesville. It climbs like a beast and kills it on the descents. It's a 29er but I find it just as playful as a lot of 27.5s that I've demoed.

I ride a 2016 Scott Genius 710. A full suspension bike that can turn into a hard tail with a flick of a switch. It's got 150mm of front and rear suspension yet only weighs around 26lbs depending on which tires I choose to use. It's perfect for all of the local trails here including the bike parks.

I rarely ride my '09 Turner Sultan FS these days (if I go to Gambrill/Shed or for some of my Patapsco rides). Rigid single speed is my preferred trail ride bike (with a 3.0" front tire) just about anywhere in lower MoCo. Also hammer on a hard tail for a weekly fast-pace urban assault in MD/DC/VA.

I ride a Trek Remedy 9 RSL at the Frederick Watershed mostly... You should stop in to Bike Doctor in Frederick and you can demo a Fuel or Remedy for $50 for 48 hours... Good way to get to test it out. (I do work there, for transparency's sake.)

Hello Dwayyo, I work in the Annapolis store. Do you guys have a Farley EX up there? I just bought a 7 and love it! But I am getting older and may end up with something FS next year. If you do what is your opinion of it? We do not have any fat bikes at our shop(not a whole lot of demand down there.)

    Thanks
    Bill

Last year, after 17 years on a Marin Mount Vision FS, I picked up a 2010 Pivot Mach 429 alloy via Pinkbike.com. I love it. Just great for the roots, rocks, mud, and leaves in this area.

Sup Bill! We don't have a Farley EX and I actually haven't even seen one in person yet. I did get to ride a Bucksaw on the trail though and that thing was a riot... Seriously fun, capable bike. Hopefully the Farley feels just as good, if not better!
