    Vxp

Hey guys, Thanks for getting this mentioned on here Yakuza.
I am the head builder / designer for VXP's mountain bike section.
The website is still getting build but I wanted to let anyone know who I am and feel free to contact me on here, or email me directly ( pm me for my address).
Right now we are waiting to see the land.
I have only seen it a few times on topo maps and can't tell you too much as to what we are gonna have there until I get out there in person.
The good news is I will be out there in about 60 days.
Once we get closer I will start a new thread and take input from all of you all as well as keep everyone posted.
    Its gonna be good stuff!

    Its out towards Greenville VA.
I have only seen topo maps so the true degree of elevation changes would be a guess.
I am working to get more information on that.
We will set feet on the land in less than 60 days.
Besides that - we have a bulldozer . So I will make some elevation changes!
    Cheers!

My first suggestion is to build stuff like this:
    http://www.freeridepark.com/photos.html

My second suggestion would be (since there is supposed to be XC trails) is to add some jumps, log rides and other moderate level features. I would be really cool to do a trail ride that had a bunch of features which could be ridden on a trail bike.

You nailed it. That exactly the direction we are going.
All bike can go down the trails almost every feature will be an option. If pedaling becomes too much, start pushing and take a shortcut back to the top, if not keep following the loop.
Good website, adding to the cookbook.
    Keep em coming.

    Best of Luck...

Remember, it is not a great machine that builds great trails, but a great builder. Make sure you keep all of the options on the table and consider how much maintenance they will "pay" you to do. Remember these things take a five to ten year vision. Stay committed and LEARN as much as you can, stay open to input and use it in the future.

    Good luck AND enjoy...

Totally with you on all points. Thankfully they will have a paid maintenance staff.
    Thanks for the advice!
