Trails by Bethesda, MD?
Aside from Cabin John, are there any trails close to Bethesda Maryland? I'm looking for something I can easily hit after work without having to fight too much traffic.

Schaeffer Farms in Germantown isn't too far away.

Muddy Branch isn't spectacular but it's pretty close. Clopper Lake, SRT, Schaeffer are a bit further but also a bit better.

The issue is traffic. Trying to get up this way at 5 pm- no thanks.

Cabin John I think is really your best bet for a post-work ride if you are in Bethesda. Have you ridden the trails on the North side of Tuckerman? Nothing super technical but getting a few laps in can be fun.

you can ride in the rock creek bike path. its asphalt, but if you ride to lake needwood you can get dirt as well.

Cabin John is what I usually ride after work, but it would be really nice to add just another trail or two.
As TwoTone mentioned, getting up to Schaeffer, Hoyles, Clopper, or Ridge is terrible at 5pm on weekdays. It just sucks your will to live.
Sorry, but no asphalt for me.
