nice, its going on my calendar. is there a published schedule of events / start time? I didn't see one.

also, I heard rumors there was some bike thing at Fair Hill just this past Saturday. any idea what that was?

The schedule of events hasn't been published, but is pretty loose; ride in the morning, party in the afternoon. Sort of depends on your ride. There will be a few guided rides of various lengths (and that info will be published as we get closer), but also a few marked trails and maps/gps. Some folks will spend all morning riding demo bikes, others will get in big rides (30ish miles), some will just want to get in a quick ride then hang out. It's up to you! But the festival stuff starts at noon.

Just curious - would anybody be interested in making it a weekend; riding nearby White Clay/Middle Run the next day (Sun Oct 23)? We're thinking about seeing if a local motel would be interested in extending a discount.

Hey, if you show up without preregistering and we run out of beer, it's your fault!! Don't be that guy (or girl). Seriously, preregistering would really help us plan.

A buddy and I are coming down from the Poconos and Northern NJ respectively. Never ridden here before.

Interested in doing a longer type ride; 20-30 miles. Do you know if there are any group rides this long?
    Nothing really witty to say..........

I think it depends on who volunteers to lead. I think there will only be about 17 miles of marked trails out of the 50+ available. For unguided rides.....

This is lifted from the Trailspinners FB Group:

Sinker; Thank you!!! Actually already signed up, but was being lazy.....

Beyond psyched for this. Been wanting to head south for years and join this fun.

Is this a SS friendly place? I know that's a subjective question. Over 100' of elevation per mile?

You can find more than 100'/mile if you go looking for it, but generally more in the 60-70 range. And yes, it's a very popular SS spot. 32/18 or 32/19 are most popular.

Thank everyone that helped put this together. Rolled out around 10:30am with some peeps from South Jersey. One had a demo bike that needed to get back to its owner. Me and a buddy finished the self guided loop. Sweet stuff out there.....should have brought the SS, but still had a ton of fun. Never came close to getting lost with the marked out loop....great stuff!!

Caught up to some Northern Jersey riding friends and chatted it up for a bit. Rolled back to the festival around 1pm. Unfortunately, the food and raffles were done, but was able to sneak in a tasty beverage which hit the spot.

    Thanks again!!

It was a great time. The self guided trail was a kick butt ride! Compliments to the trail masters that set the route. Rode my 2017 Farley and LOVED it. We also did the orange loop in the morning. That was also sweet! we did about 31 miles. That was my first time up there but won't be my last. When I got back they had already done the drawing and the food was gone also. Good job on the event folks! Thanks!

Thanks for coming, and glad you had fun! Bob Gaston designed the route with the idea of giving visitors a decent taste of the variety available at Fairhill; sounds like he was successful.

And yes, we made a few mistakes, but thanks for bearing with us.

Not my intent to point out mistakes at all Sinker. Was a great event and a good cause. I get it. It was really uncomfortable in the cold wind. Was much better in the woods. Had a great time and Bob was successful for sure. With the weather I was surprised how many showed. We will be back to Fairhill before the next Jamboree.

No worries, didn't take it that way at all.

Let me know if you want a guided tour of White Clay/Middle Run too.

We have a bunch of guys from our church that ride. Got a call from there to ask me to start a group there. we have about 11 so far. Would like to bring them up to ride sometime. There is some nice challenging trails there and seems like some good beginner trails for the newbies. Is there any camping close by?

Almost any weekend is good for me! The closest camping is at Lums Pond State Park (30 minutes south), which also has some ok trail riding (flat loop around the pond, with some roots).
