    Gearing

I did the Enduro 6hr race last year on a rigid SS. The course is typical Williamsburg riding, lots of short up and downs, roots, tight twisty stuff. I have been told the course is exactly like last year. I used a 32-18, this started off great but as the day went on I wished I had a 32-20, but this is after 3-4 hours of racing and in the lead. If you are strong and are looking to place high I think a 32-16 would be fine, a 32-18 is better if you spin more, dont like mashing up hills as much and like being able to sprint out of corners better. Even with the 32-18 I can remember 2 or 3 spot that still made me get off the bike, one real big dip with a steep exit and a tight switchback up loose stuff.

I just realized I didn't give you a straight answer, so here it is. 32-18 (obviously negotiable).
