    Strangest Looking broken chain

Was riding out at Patapsco today and came upon a new acquaintance who was riding a very nice looking Santa Cruz...prior to approaching we heard the clank, bang, crack, bam, boom of a rear derauiler not acting as it should...as we rolled up we saw the chain twisted in the derauiler wheels...very strange looking...until he pulled it apart and took it off...WOW it was REALLY TWISTED...check out the picture, I've never seen such a thing...I figured it would break, not just twist...wild...told us he had everything he needed and we had to get going so if ya read this hope it all worked out for ya...see ya on the trails again...
