    Roanoke VA conditions

I will be in Roanoke early next week (March 26-28). I was planning to bring my bike and do some riding but it looks like there has been some rain / snow this week with more coming on Saturday.

Will anything be rideable Monday or Tuesday? Should I just punt and leave the bike at home?

    Thanks!

I'm not local, but ride there a few times a year. There are plenty of trails that drain exceptionally well, so I'd guess you will find something to ride.

Carvin's Cove is probably your best bet and Just the Right Gear is the closest shop to them. Maybe give them a ring on Sunday to ask?

Lol - Better late than never. My trip was back in March.

Your suggestions are good ones though. I ended up pinging two of the LBS in Roanoke before my trip.

Ended up riding the Mill Mountain trails one day and Carvinís Cove the other day.

I would like to get back to Carvinís Cove for a ride in better weather conditions some day. It is a great trail system.

Damn, I just glanced and somehow read 'May 26-28th,' sorry. Sounds like you hit the good stuff though! Carvin's is amazing, I could ride there all day (but sadly haven't found the time to yet.)

So a group from Charlottesville is planning to come down to carvins this Saturday 7/28. We have had a ton of rain up here. How are things down there? Worth the couple hour road trip?

Stay on the upper trails, they should be fine. Lower trails will be a mess.
