    Pre-Turkey Harrisonburg Trip -- conditions?

I'm super stoked to be heading west to Harrisonburg, VA for the first time. Planning on riding Narrowback, Wolfridge, and maybe Lookout on Monday. Gonna to relax and check out Hillandale on Tuesday.

Anyone have info on the conditions for Narrowback, Wolfridge, and Lookout? Weather forecasts says it will get up to 60 (!!) degrees in town on Monday. So 10 degrees chillier up top? A little more damp too?

Are Maxxis Ikons a sufficient choice for Fall conditions? I'm concerned about finding traction in the wet leaves at downhilll speeds. Riding a FS 29er.

I think the Ikons will be fine. You'll want to keep an eye out in Hillandale for sharp rocks with the Ikons though, I suspect. Wolf Ridge will be less affected by weather conditions, in my experience, with the more progressive descent on narrow back being most affected if there's freeze/thaw or other moisture, and Lookout being somewhere in the middle. Lacking any real feedback on conditions, Rocktown bike shop (Ken Bell) or Shenandoah Bicycle Company (Tim) should have a really good idea what conditions are actually like.
