    Patapsco

A few of us from York were considering a ride at Patapsco Saturday. Are the trail conditions good for riding?

I was there Sunday and some of the trails were good and some were awful. The trails on the Howard Co. side were the worst in my opinion due to the fact that would be the shady side of the park in the afternoon. Not to say all the tails were muddy on that side. You just have to choose your route carefully.

I would say things should be good for Sat.. We are expecting some great weather this weekend. We might even see 70 degree's that day.
When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and I turn and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and I see you again...

There are a lot of good places to start and the most popular would be the Park-n- ride. You can find the directions here on the trail review for Patapsco/ Avalon section.

If this is your first time at this park you would really need someone to show you around to get the full benefit of this place. I may or may not be able to do it because I'm planning to go to the Watershed with a friend of mine. Things could change though, I won't be able to give you an answer as of right now. Anyway, if I can do it, I'd be happy to show you the whole place. I live a mile from the trail head and know the place very well. I checked the MORE web site and I didn't see any group rides for Avalon. That would have been another possibility for you. who knows as of right now?

Hey Ryan, Good to see you are still lurking around!

Ahhhh, the early Sunday morning hangover rides. Yeah man, good times.

It's 63 degrees, Friday at 6:45 am. Should I go to work?

Thanks for the offer. We will be getting there about 1pm. Shoot me an email at dkravens at yahoo and I'll give you my cell number in case you can meet us. There will most likely just be two of us.

Didn't we ride together at Loch Raven Last summer.

Yeah Dave , I do believe so. One of you guys had a single speed, right?
That was a good ride. I remember a friend of mine had knee surgery and I didn't feal like riding alone so I saw your post about having the ride at the Loch. Nice ride.

    I'll e-mail you later.

Dammit, I didnt even realize I spelled your name wrong in the last post. Why do B and N have to be near each other. Haha.

Yup, those early morning rides are fun. I think we might change up the time a little but we arent sure yet. I will keep you updated. Just look out for a post to start here soon. Cya.

    PS: I love this weather.
