    Lookout This Saturday?

    Hi all,

I'm desperate for some dirt within a reasonable drive of Richmond since our trails are gonna be sloppy this weekend.

Anyone know if Lookout will be rideable Saturday?

    Thanks!

(If there's a trail report page/Facebook you can direct me to, that'd be awesome too, already following the SVBC on Facebook)

I think all trails will be pretty sloppy this weekend except for those high on the mtns. But they might get nasty too.

    Lookout just above Stokesville?

If so I'd say with some certainty that you can find something that is in good enough shape to ride this weekend in that area. Lookout is a good option since it has so much rock. Timber ridge and down Lynn would likely be fine as well, but I'd probably avoid the new Wolf stuff. All of those old school GW trails drain so well it's typically not an issue, as long as you stay off newer builds like Dowell's, Wolf and Narrowback I can't imagine it'd be a problem.

That said, if it were me I'd be looking to stay at Stokesville Campground for the night so I'd just email Chris that runs that and ask about conditions as well as camping. They have snow on the ground and temps are climbing for the weekend so it's better to play it safe and get some local intel.

Nailed it. Chris is going to let you know if it's any good or not.

This is awesome info, I'm sticking to fire roads today, but glad to know I can get a report when I finally make it out there.

    Thanks all!!!
