labor day rides in fair hill, middle run, white clay etc?

hi folks, I'm visiting the parent (down in havre de grace, md) and i want to get a couple of rides in at one of these parks. they all look within an hours drive, and been passing them on the highway for years, its time i brought the bike and got on them.

i'd love to hear which parks you'd recommend for about a 3 hour ride, where to park, what trails to hit, etc. if there are any group rides that we could jump in on, all the better.

we tend to ride the most technical parks up here in jersey (allamuchy, ringwood, etc) so anything technical you have down there, i'd love to sample

we're looking to ride sun am (2 sep) and maybe mon am (labor day).

i was also told that there was a nice skills area at white clay? which I'd like to check out because we're working towards building on up here in north jersey.

    cheers!

Sorry I missed this earlier. Did you end up riding?

We had a nice group ride this morning (Labor Day) at White Clay/Middle Run, but by about 10:30 there were so many people (walkers, joggers, leisurely family cyclists, race teams) on the trails that it was dangerous. It made me want to trade in my bell for an air horn. There wasn't a problem with behavior or trail etiquette, just pure volume.
