New question here. IMBA Epic "Southern Traverse"....Trail Conditions?

Wondering about the condition of the IMBA Epic "Southern Traverse". Rode it last year and enjoyed it very much. Anybody been on it lately? Wash outs or microburst damage? Thx.

The site is updated regularly, but if you want the real low-down you could call the dudes at Shenandoah Bicycle Company. 540.437.9000, http://www.shenandoahbicycle.com

Or get in touch with Chris Scott at Mountain touring: http://www.mtntouring.com.

The trail had some love over the summer, here are some pics:

    Cheers, enjoy.

    Good job! Excellent Pictures....Great Information....

Thx very much. Looks like you really had quite a crew out for the ride. It also looks like you did it as a loop, i.e. after finishing you took the road along the various drafts at the base of the mountains to get back to vehicles. That is the way I have done it in the past. Thx. again.

Rode it last Sunday. The trail is in great shape, very few places where you have to dismount to get around deadfall or a sketchy trail bed. Not too many leaves down yet. I give it 2 thumbs up.

PS: we parked at the end of the ridge trail and rode the pavement FIRST, to get it outta the way.
