    Favorite Tires for the DMV

Whats everyones favorite tires for this area? I am running a hardtail with 27.5" wheel and 27mm internal width and need new tires and figured I'd try something new. Mostly ride Schaeffer farm and the rock creek trail as both are close to the house. Sometimes ride the Frederick and Emmitsburg watersheds. Visit family in PA and ride Rocky Ridge, Mt Gretna or Michaux. Looking for an all mtn everyday type tire. SO what do you ride and how wide?

There's no ideal tire for this area, it's just down to personal preference. Can't go wrong with a good pair of Maxxis or Continentals (w/black chili). Specialized has some good tires too. But in the end, it comes down to tire pressure and side knobs that clinch. Main thing is tire pressure.

If you do watershed I'd go with Minion DHF/DHR. I ride that and Gambrill not to mention Elizabeth furnace area and I love the extra grip

Yup, especially in the wet, snow and ice we've had lately.
