    Attn. Harrisonburg natives........

Anyone know of any of the trail systems, or shops? I'm thinking of heading down from MD next weekend to check it out. Anyone interested in some riding? Thanks.

Harrionsburg is right next to the GW National Forest. I've never ridden the trails, but I know if you take 33 West out of town, it will put you into the park. If you head over the mountain into WV and drop down into the valley, there are endless miles of back roads which make some great pavement riding. Some friends of ours own a cabin outside of Sugar Grove.

It's worth driving over into WV just for the winding road up and down the mountain. I think I counted a total of 120 curves last time I did it.

Next weekend the SM100 will be held down there. I've got tons of maps and info if you need it.

Yeah, unless you are racing I'd plan another weekend. The course will be on a lot of the trails that I would recommend for your to ride.

Not sure of my ride plans yet, doing an AM ride w/ Julie, then maybe Avalon in the PM (unless I do the road early AM). Sunday I'm unsure right now.
