What bike brand and model can this frame be?

    Hey everyone,

Just got this frame and was considering building it for a little fun. Do any of you know what brand and model this frame could be?

The frame sticker, as you can see, says Easton Vari Lite ProGram 7000 Series Alloy D. The frame is engraved with E <DB>, which I'm assuming is Easton double butted.

    Thank you,
    Eddie

My guess is a DBR, yes Diamondback made some Easton bikes under the DBR label. They chromed them like GT and Answer Manitou used to do.

    Check for cracks.

Thank you for your reply. I'm going to look for some DBR with those cable guides, they seem pretty distinguishable. I will check for cracks too.

    Thanks again.

After days of researching. I found the bike in a few different sites, but I'm still not sure 100% the model and brand.

Here, is the same bike. Except he lists no brand, etc, which doesn't help.

Here, looks like the same frame. Drop outs, material, but cant see the cable guides:

This one also, a Wheeler 8890 Team. It looks just like it, same material, same drop-outs and same cable guides. Could it be this Wheeler or another model?

Another Wheeler. Looks like a similar frame as well. Cable guides, dropouts. etc.

This is the bike when I bought, he was advertising the frame only, but had a pic of the whole bike. Had Magura hydraulic v-brakes, XTR hubs early 90s hubs, XT components.

I think you are correct, it looks like a Wheeler. Not to promote another site, but retrobike is based in Europe. Check this VRC forum:

    Good luck.
