Westpine Cycles Photo & Info Thread

I had never heard of this company until I researched the make of these brakes. Apparently a small company that made these Westpine Triple Alignment Cantilever brakes, then sold the patent to Avid. Pretty sweet bit of mountain bike history if you ask me

Who else has these brakes? Only a handful of them made!
I read that Westpine made hubs but I've never seen any.

That's probably the simplest design for any Westpine part. Never knew they sold the design to Avid. Have seen some of their hubs and scissor brakes.

Somewhere in my buddy's garage in one of the boxes of goodies there's a brand new Westpine hub.

Thanks for starting this, I have nothing to contribute beyond saying I had no idea they originated that design, and that I love all the scissor brakes I see here from time to time.

That hub is pretty awesome too. I look forward to more pics of cool machined goodness!

right on, mcs. I had never heard of the company either, took me a bit of time to find a post by Dee Eight showing off wome Westpine TACs. He mentioned that there were only about 60 of these brakesets made....so don't expect to see too many popping up here. that hub is trick! I have never seen the scissor brakes in the flesh...super cool looking tho
