I always liked the clean lines of the original Avid Ultimate levers. Still use them.

Paul V's. Simple, light, and super functional.



The CNC'd Avid Arch supremes are probably the unbeatable IMO but they're crazy expensive. CNC'd Avid ultimates second place.

I've always been partial to Critical Racing canti's.



For levers, my all time favorites were the original Box design, though Altek are a very close second (they made lever blades to fit Magura rim brake levers, as shown below on my Bontrager).

I wish I could find another pair of Altek blades for Maguras. I had some in blue and also had more powerful trials master cylinders crushing ceramic rims. This was back in the days of MTBRs Magura Cult Members. I still have the MCM top cap.

Another thing, the Altek blade is *exactly* the same bend as the Avid Black Ops blade, but wider and with no slop. I was using disc brake shims to take out the slop.
