    Rockshox SL Titanium lowers

The catalog on Mombat says the lowers are hand polished magnesium. I assume then sprayed with a clear enamel to protect the finish? Anyone try to revive a pair that was starting to peel/oxidize?

    Thanks -

    Rich

I didn't think magnesium was nearly as gold coloured as that, so I would imagine the lacquer is coloured

The regular Mag 20s are quite gold, though not polished like the SLs.

I'm picking up a pair today that have some patchiness on the finish. (as seen on low resolution photos) They also have a big ass reflector still on the brace, so I'm intrigued and confused all at the same time. Here's to hoping the patchiness is sticker residue or dirt!

UPDATE: They were ROUGH. Completely oxidized, peeling, nasty. I took them for a few bucks and a handshake... may try to strip it all off and polish.
