Yeah I know it's supposed to be "Picture Friday" , but it's been a bit slow in here, and I figured everybody should have a few pics to post to get something going....

Some east coast stuff right here.

Too many bikes, and just enough time to ride them.

    '89 Slingshot

I posted a few pictures of this bike when I first got it and it was filthy. I got it cleaned up in June and forgot to post pictures. I rode it all summer and got it filthy again. Just cleaned it up again and snapped a few pictures at work. It gets a new Turbo saddle this weekend.

Nice paint on that 'Shot, love it. I had a ~'92 Slingshot that was originally lilac purple, but I like yours better I think..

Thanks! I found it on Craigslist last year and the paint is what originally sold me on it as the pictures were too bad (and the bike was too dirty) to make out much. It wasn't until the guy sent better pictures and I could see that it was built up with some of the cooler parts of the late 80's. Its been an absolute blast to ride.

The lilac paint on the 92's was great too. Reminded me of an easter egg. This one is known at the shop as the Good n' Plenty bike.

Thanks! Just to be clear, you are the Slingshot hater yes?

I believe Rumpfy's response to when I posted the filthy pictures of the bike was "still jealous" which I figure as far as Slingers are concerned is about the best endorsement I'm going to get.

If you want i'm sure we can use my compressor to pop that flat spot right out.
I cant believe they use guides on that rather than cable stops. What year was that frame?

Still, still jealous. That thing is so cool. One of the coolest I've seen.

At least it's on a trail. Heck everything I have posted lately has been in the garage or in the back yard. Can't get my stupid Powershot 600 to download on the computer and the SLR is too nice to take riding......

Yeah yeah. From what I learned doing my undergrad in photography, it works for your photo because of the window and the color of the bike.

Late to the party, but posting anyway. From a ride this weekend. Trails are still too snowy to ride around here, so wet pavement rides on the townie have to suffice. The old Paramount, demoted to townie status, is still one of my favorite rides, and has seen over 150 miles in the past 2 weeks.
