Ok, its not old production but it is old geometry/design...

The E-stay hardtails Ediscount's been listing on ebay are a copy of the old Rocky Mountain Cirrus frame. I suspect that the manufacturer bought the old jigs and production plans for the Cirrus (the frames were made in Japan) and used them for their own model. The originals used a simple clearcoat over bare aluminium, with a 7005T6 tubeset. The new version is painted (they have red ones and gunmetal blue ones on ebay, as low as $39.99US) with a 6061T6 tubeset. Frame weights are virtually identical (the ones I got from ebay, listed as a 17" but its really a 19", are 5 Ibs 6.8oz) and the toptube is relatively short (22.5" on a 19" seattube), just like an old Cirrus. Also the frame has a tapped screw hole at the base of the seattube for running a pulley to use a bottom pull front derailleur, just like a Cirrus had. Same small welded cross brace in the lower stays, behind the seattube, same shorter CS length (about 16.5", not as bad as the Experience which was 15.9").
