    Mongoose/Merlin frame

    So who got it?

Looking at the pics, doesn't it look like the some of the welds are contaminated? Especially at the bottom bracket/chainstay junction. Seems like their was some rework/repair done around the dropouts too. Either way, seems like a good deal for whoever got it. Someday I'll own a ti frame. Maybe if I save enough pennies I can afford a ti 29er from Steve Potts, and be as cool as benwitt11!

Those are really horrible. There was one on NY CL a while ago. I just don't get the Ti/Cro-Mo.

Is that legit? Those look about as much like Merlin welds as my dog does a redwood tree.

And yeah, nice work on the dropout fix there, looks like that bike has had a hard, hard life.

Steel/Ti, perhaps an odd, upscale concept on the Raliegh Techniums?

Huh, new to me. Drop out fix for sure, and it looks like some of the Ti welds were redone (poorly) as well.

They made these weird Ti/Steel hybrid bikes. The story was that there were only 3-6, but I've seen more than that myself. One just sold on ebay for around $400, as a complete bike.
