Looking For a "Good" 1" threaded HS

I'm in the process of building my SS into a dedicated commuter (90'sh Giant Boulder) and I was wondering if anybody here in VRC had an extra 1" threaded Head set? I'd be willing to pay you if it's decent! Lemme know!!!!

Did you search "threaded headset"? There's a bunch. This one is probably good enough.

eBay searches don't associate numerals and punctuation grouped together - hence a search for 1" will actually find all listings with a 1 in the title - including 1 1/8" , if you put quote marks around your search string it limits you further because it will only return results with exactly what is inside the quotes.

Tange Levin headsets are still in production and are of perfectly good quality. Try your searches on Google Shopping, too.

I really like the Levin - it's a really clean, classic looking headset. I have two in use at the moment.

Your LBS should have some in stock. Support your locals.

Chris King still makes a 1" threaded headset, and they are pretty good.

Any shop that sells road bikes should be able to sell you one too.

Another vote for the Tange. If they don't have that get a Ritchey.
Authorities speculate that speed may have been a factor. They are also holding gravity and inertia for questioning.

I'd love to put a CK on it but this is gonna be a total beater that I want to keep nice but not that nice. I think I'd spend $30 max on it if its worth it!

Nice headset at a nice price. My only complaints about the Ritchey headsets is that one cup is black and one is silver. Why not make them the same? Otherwise, they work just fine.

I've bought a couple of Cane Creek headsets from Abaxo recently - don't be surprised if it shows up without a box.

Or maybe not - I didn't notice it says "NIB" before I posted. Doh!

Yeah I got a set of those bluesky BB7's too, that didn't surprise me much, but I the Shimano cables shipped in a baggie struck me as odd.

Just imagine a factory where bikes are built, and right next door to it, the one where they take the unsold ones back apart, and it all makes sense.

I run the same headset on my touring bike. Works fine. It also survived a very serious front end crash on a previous bike (enough to snap frame and fork). No issues so far, which is my highest praise for a headset.
Too many bikes, not enough time.
