    Awsome.

Assuming the parts are original, your guess on vintage looks close, maybe a year earlier even.

Look too big for you. I think its my size though.

I think you are about right, maybe a little earlier. How many gears does it have. I dig the salt water taffy swirl of a paint job. Also like the 1 piece bars.

Before 89. Slawata/Land Shark is a name that doesn't come up enough here.

If that headset is an XT and has a rubber cover on the top cup, and the headset is the original, then the bike has an 88 group on it.

Besides that, not east to put a date on the frame itself. Lank Sharks were never "production" to be able to base a year on.

Looks like its a so-cal built Shark before John moved up to Oregon. That one never made it too far from home.

Check the inside of the rear dropouts for serial. That is where my shark is marked.

Does it have internal cable routing along the top tube for the rear brake? Can't tell from the photo. Earlier ones didn't...

    Stem is bada##!

    Nice, diggin' the paint!

You asked for help, and since no one else provided this service, get some real trail meats for that thing alredy, I feel badly for it, having those coffee getter tires on it.

internal cable routing with the motorcycle cables.

I took i on the trail and the tires rolled really good, i was surprised how well they kept traction. most likely some gum walls are in order and I have some purple ano barends somewhere....

Beautiful bike!! I love the paint and the bar/stem combo is sweet!
Each bicycle owned exponentially increases the probability that none is working correctly.
