Anyone know anything about a LOOK Carbon MTB?

Today whilst on my way to work I saw a Lugged Carbon framed bike that as far as I can tell from a quick look had MTB geometry, rear wheel spacing and big fat tubes, it was over-built and had lots of LOOK stickers on it, that looked in keping with the rest of the bike.

I had my camera but I was late for work, ill keep an eye out....

or was I being really stupid?

Nope, those exsist. Or we both should see a shrink. I've had one in my hands 2 months ago. A friend of mine has one, lying somewhere between his inmens puddle of bike parts in his shed. I will see if I can arrange a picture...
No, I am not retro.... I am way ahead of my time...

I have been looking for one for a couple years, and have come across nothing. Lemond rode one a few times, before he got on that carbonframes (calfee) creation. Full Mavic drivetrain, of course. It may have been in the Mavic ads. Actually I think he was already on the calfee by then. Hmm, that'd be a score as well...

Don't forget the fork. Actually made by Fournales but Look stickered. Some of them made it stateside and this one was modified to fit a 29" wheel.

This is not a Look frame, it is a custom steel.

A bike by any other name is still a bike.

thats not the frame though is it bigwheel?

the one I saw was FAT, and big industrial lugs, it was in the University grounds so presumably it belongs to a student, and hopefully it belongs to a student who has no idea whatsoever what it is. and then I can buy it cheap.....

    Cheers for the info, Djuc

Speaking of LOOK..how about other vintage Euro MTB's

Anybody out there have any retro European MTB's? I have owned several over the years: a Vitus, an Alan, and 2 Colnagos. I'll try and post some pics later this afternoon.

I have a photo of it in a French mag, will see if I can scan it. It was taken at a bike show and they said it would never go to production.

yes look has had carbon MTB frames, I've seen quite a few over the years. I even know the one you're referring to. It dates to about 1995-96. They sold them in canada thru cyclepath dealers about that time.
