Does it look like a Race frame?

Read this article. Click on "Bericht Bicycle Guide April 1992" at the URL:
    http://www.mtb-kataloge.de/html/bontrager.html

They talk about the suspended and un-suspended Bontrager frames. Is the "RS" (i.e. Rock Shox) the suspended version? If it is then it should be more or less a Race frame. (Just a guess)

If you decided not to buy it, forward the info to me. What size frame is it?

They had a prototype suspended frame way back when. I can't remember if it was before the Trek buyout or not. It made it to an Interbike show if I remember right and there was a picture of it on the Bontrager web site in the miscelaneous pictures.

It was a painted gray aluminum frame that looked a lot like an Amp-Research. The only thing that really set it apart from other frames that used the same design was that the pivot was a flexible composite like on Slingshots.

I don't think there were ever more than one or two of them but they may have made it into the catalogs.

This one is a steel hardtail. I can send over pics later. I would assume its just the typical steel offering but made to work geometry-wise with a first gen. Rockshox.

I havent been able to read that article yet on the 92 that laffeaux posted. Maybe that has something on it.
