Sweet. That was my dream bike! I remember looking at the catalog and drooling. I bought an MT200, 'cause I couldn't afford the carbon fiber/titanium wet dream I wanted.

Fork shouldn't be THAT hard to duplicate. All you need is a 1993 Trek Mogul fork, and have the crown and legs re-annodized to blue (they were both aluminium).

That's good info to have. It may come to that.
But what to do with the internals...

well JT's fork was the same as the Trek Mogul forks except for the annodizing and tioga decals. Showa made Trek's forks and Tioga's fork. So look for a Mogul or Mogul Black Diamond.

Supposedly his was revalved for him by Showa, but that shouldnt really matter on a project bike like this...

True, but I wonder, if I end up at this crossroads, are there any kits to revalve the thing to make it a decent fork?

does anyone else remeber the white showa forks MBA feature? supposedly real light project. I would totally expect Tomes forks to be tweaked in some form

maybe a Raleigh Replica site should be created like the merlin newsboy site? that would be cool

You could always mess with it yourself depending on what it needed. Im sure showa used the traditional washers/shims to handle the valving.

Send it to Push Industries or Hippietech.

Yeah, it just kinda happened. Its neutral, but not boring.

The full size version look great: 1600x1200

Cool-blue Rhythm Sorry for getting too "artsy fartsy"

Or as Homer would say: "less artsy, more fartsy." I actually like the loader in the background too. Adds some class and context. As if the fresh load was just dropped. My days of bike catalog design are over, but the best ideas always come from those who have a bike soul! Cheers!

The white ones were a one-off not even JT got. The stanchions were nickle-plated and hard chromed carbon fiber.

Showa forks used shim stacks like their motorcycle forks did, so revalving isn't really that much of a chore.

Ah...here's a good one with loader. It's my personal fave:

    1600x1200

I didn't think that John Deere tractors could add class to a picture!
