1992 Mountain Goat Lombada Goat tandem w/ Campy
In the early 1990's almost all small mountain bike companies had off-road tandems in their line-up. Tandems were a relatively small market and the bikes were expensive which limited the number sold. Campagnolo entered the mountain bike component wars in the late 1980's and stumbled badly. By 1992, they improved the components dramatically but the combination of a bad start and an unfavorable exchange rate limited the appeal of the Campy parts. Within the range of Campy parts, they offered some off-road tandem specific parts such as hubs, cranks and brakes. Take the off-road tandem niche, add niche within a niche parts and you end up with an uncommon bike.

Something about the color and components make that a really attractive bike. Very nice!

No one of my personal favorite paint schemes. How about a bamboo or CA Yuppie tandem?

I would have no idea what to do with a tandem, but that is a very tasty desirable piece that makes me to some extent very yealous

The local Campy importer (Gita) didn't remember ever bringing any Campy off-road tandem groups into the US.
