    Jeff,

Do you know...did Russ do the paint on this Escape Goat?

I only ask as the work does not have quite the same detailed finesse in the airbrushing as typical of his style.

This one was fairly early in the custom paint game so it may have not been as refined as the later bikes? Just a guess.

Is that an "extra long travel" HiteRite?

    Or just a small bike?

I know that was on the later ones, not sure that it made it one this one.

How many sizes were there? I know there was a regular one at first and then a short travel? Was there a third size? I have seen black and chrome finishes and one of our Ibis bikes had it painted to match.

I don't know about different versions, yours just looks "longer" than mine...

No "that's what she said" comments needed.

I think there were three sizes with the shortest (shorter than yours) being the "Race Hite" IIRC.

And then I think there was a ti one... I think...

hmmm...a couple really basic stencils and a mixed bag of spray paint and pretty much anyone could duplicate that...

i would take a cunningham's raw aluminum closer to art than the Goat but it's just an opinion and the Goat rides much better than my opinions.

That's a great classic bike, I remember seeing the early '90s Mountain Goats with the suspension forks painted to match. They always came with awesome paintjobs.

Lots of Mountain Goat paint schemes @ MOMBAT: Bike Listing

The color matched stems and forks always looked great.
