1 inch threaded fork crown race is weird

It has an inset washer that hangs up and won’t seat on the crown. Anybody seen this and know what to do? The race is a loose bearing race off a Turner rock shox 1989 fork. Trying to place on a standard 1inch fork. Thanks

Are you trying to fit a bmx headset to your mtb? They are different sizes, your need a mtb and maybe a road headset to work.
They was loads of different sized 1" headsets once up on a time.
If it's too hard just order a new Chris King headset and be done with it.

There are 2 different 1" race sizes. 26.4mm or 27.0mm.

The inset washer may be acting like a shim on a 27.0 crown race. If it works live it alone otherwise get a tange unit in 26.4 which costs 1/5th of a king and works really well.
