    Pretty cool!
I don't use Strava. Don't need an application to tell me I am slow because I already know.

Looks fairly small for a wolf.

I'm pretty sure that's a dog, not a wolf. Too small, gait is wrong, legs too short, non-wolflike behavior.

Yeah, looks like a dog from that. I came upon a wolf a few winters ago high above Anchorage when it was getting dark and no one else was out. A hundred feet ahead I saw it and thought "wow, that's a big wolf-looking dog...wonder where the owner is?". Then I realized it wasn't just a "big wolf-looking dog", it was a wolf! Really neat. Got closer and realized it had a radio-collar.

Kind of like how people, in rattlesnake-infested areas, call every snake a rattlesnake. Every black spider is a black widow too. I guess any wild cat is a mountain lion too (e.g. bobcat). Oh ya, how about those tracks on the ground... conveniently forget what a dog's tracks look like and speculate that the tracks are from some predator large enough to prey on humans. Any mysterious sound from the bushes was a mountain lion, when you are riding in the twilight or early night.
