    Winter Woolly @ Highland

Checking in to see who's up for this on Feb 11th. Thinking about attending just to see how some fat bikes can rip down Highland Mtn! Not sure if this event warrants studded tires or not. I guess it really depends on conditions from now until then....best bet would be to bring a set of each just in case. These are some seriously fast DH trails, so bring your crash helmet and extra $$ for recovery beers!

I just registered. Heading up with 2 other buddies. Stoked to try the DH! Hope to mix a group ride and get my lift-service on. Also doing the race, but only for fun. I'm slow and not that into super competitive racing. See you there if you go!

Nice to hear, was really tempted to travel out that way to experience lift accessed fat biking.

I'm also really hoping that they open up again when conditions allow. I would totally so that every weekend. way more fun than skiing, also much cheaper and closer!

Looks like it was a blast! Had to bail at the last minute due to work...bummed. The course looked really soft here and lots of wipeouts...all good. I think high floatation maybe with studs would help. Hard to tell if there was some ice under the snow or not? I had a set of 4.5 Snowshoes with 200 Kold Kutters almost ready to roll. I will shoot for next year or try and find another event like this. Highlands is on to something here....open season winter fat bike DH!!

I posted a few video edits from our rides in the Fat Bike section.

    Or our Youtube page,

We hit up Cat's Paw early in the day, and it was a total mess.

Freedom ended up being amazing. We rode multiple times. Can't wait for next year's event.

Good write up from Pinkbike. That is me walking and my buddy crashing in the pic. He also eats it in the middle of the video in the article.

They wrap up the article with another pic of myself getting a bit sideways.
