    Andig,

What could anyone disapprove of! :-) Welcome to Ventana! Oh, and yes, pix are required! Enjoy the heck out of this bike. Can't wait to see it all together.

Nice! The only changes I would make is Elixer CR Brakes (Red) and maybe XTR Cranks over the Noir. Perhaps mix in a red Chris King BB for extra bling factor. Can't wait to see pics. Can you get the Ventana logo in red? Reminds me of the old Red Line Powder coat BMXers. That is a good thing!

very nice build....just a small doubt..the fork is an F29 (not an F100 for 26" bikes), right?

I said it before...I'd pay the extra coin to have Sherwood paint and color match the rear swing arm.

Can't wait to see the pictures though..

    Thanks guys!

Can't wait to get my filthy mitts on it now and I will of course post some pics when it arrives.
Bingemtbr - I hadn't thought of color coding the rear swing arm but I like the idea and Killrop's suggestion of a red logo on the frame.
Crisillo - the fork is the Fox 29er, my mistake.

Thanks CRed and I am sure you will enjoy your new El Chiq. its a great bike.
I can assure you, mine won't be fancy looking for long and will be picking up the usual muck, dings and scrapes very quickly!

After what has seemed a very long wait, my El Rey was finally delivered Friday. I am really rather pleased with the overall look and the frame/paint quality are absolutely first rate. After spending Saturday morning generally messing around to get the set up right, I did a couple of hour trail ride yesterday. I have got to say, it has exceeded my expectations. For what I use it for, the travel is perfect and the Fox fork with the 15mm TA really compliments the stiff back end.

I only have a couple of iphone pics so far to show you the look (before I got it nice and dirty!) and I hope you enjoy!

He's not going to respond to that page. Because he's on his hand and knees in the Turner forum

Thanks all - the look turned out even better than I thought it would. My old Cannondale is all black so I just went with the opposite and blinged it up with a bit of red.

Very nice Andig!I'm debating whether to build my El Chiquillo up this year or just wait until next year since it's so late in the season up here in N. MN.I was thinking maybe I'd send the frame to Ventana for a spiffy custom paint job as my X-Mas present to myself.
