    Flip Chip problem

So I was out for a ride today and long story short my upper shock bolt came loose and I lost the nut and the flip chip on the nut side. Unfortunately I NEED to ride tomorrow. Any ideas for a band-aid solution?

I'm figuring I can just tighten it up with a flanged nut and ride real easy all day, checking the tightness constantly. Anyone got anything better?

El capitan! It is awesome. I just wish they didn't ahve the stupid swoopy hump on the front of the TT and the seattube was a tad shorter. But had to get the gigantic size for the horizontal length. People are always shocked when I tell them it's a 29'er. The proportions look like a 26".

Did you end up getting the largest stock size? I went level 2 and got a 24 seat tube with 27 top tube. Also did zeus rear for short chainstays and more travel (140/160). Ridiculously fun bike!

Yeah Judy stock geo. If I had to do it over again I'd go a half inch longer on the reach, and 3 inches shorter I the seat tube shop I could fit a dropper. But if I ever get the perfect bike I won't have a good excuse to buy another one!. I'm really pumped on this bike, especially since the Santa Cruz trails are so awesome.

How much did the level two or level one add to the cost?

I am not 100% on what a flip chip is but it sounds like a spare part you should have on hand.

I have a 2014 Ciclon. Is the flip chip the black-pill insert that changes the rear travel from 5" to 6"?

Custom geometry is very very well worth it.

    Flip Chip problem

Correct the " little pill "is the flip chip.

Yeah If I get another one I'll definitely do custom. Now that I've ridden an XC bike that actually fits me for the first time in my life I'll have a better idea of what I want. $350 is cheap though. I thought it would be way more. I did have them add an extra water bottle holder though!

Yeah Ventana is by far one of the better all around deals you can get. A semicustom frame is still significantly less than stock frames from the big boys....plus you get handmade in the USA by a mechanical engineer with fantastic customer support!
