    El Gordo upgrades

With the first flakes coming down around here, here is the El Gordo ready for a new season of snow riding. I changed the previous 2x9 drivetrain for a 1X10 with XX1 crankset (28T ring), X9 10 speed RD and a 11-36 cassette modified with a Wolftooth 40T cog. Also upgraded the tires with studded versions of the Escalator (had it studless before and added the studs myself using the 45NRTH tool - long but quite easy) and the new Dillinger 5. Need those little spikes around here for the many icy days... Ready for some white fun!El Gordo upgrades-l1030747.jpgEl Gordo upgrades-l1030748.jpgEl Gordo upgrades-l1030749.jpgEl Gordo upgrades-l1030750.jpgEl Gordo upgrades-l1030751.jpg

Dam! That looks menacing with the spikes, The one El Gordo I played with was kinda a fun funky bike but add some studs.... Now we need snow/ice in action shots!

    El Gordo in the snow

Finally some winter weather and some pics of El Gordo in its element. Sorry Aaron, hard to get some action pics when you're riding solo... If anyone wonders, the standard Revelate Designs medium frame bag perfectly fits the large El Gordo frame.
