    El Commandante frame weight?

Curious what people's El Comms have weighed in at. Just received one that's 5 lb 1 oz with HS cups pressed in (20"), considerably more than expected.

But keep in mind, that's a hard tail you can ride like you stole it and will hold up to the abuse. I have a XL 650B frame weight was 5 lbs 7 oz. It's looking like it will build out at around 26 lbs with a RS Revelation 120mm and XT Build Kit.

Yes, it's obviously sturdy construction. More of an issue that the estimated weight was 4.1 lbs, so curious if this is an outlier due to mild customization. 4lb aluminum hardtails can be plenty sturdy too.

It's not clearly obvious, since you didn't first state that you had a customize frame.

Ventana = sturdy. IMO the minor tweaks to geometry would have less impact than size (added to original post).

So do carbon frames. I own a Ventana El Padrino and it is a great bike. Really enjoy it but have found I enjoy the feeling of carbon more. Wish Ventana would make the jump to carbon.
