    650b on 26" Ciclón?

So... I have a 2013 El Ciclón that I'm ashamed to say has been ridden verry little. No excuser. Just lazy and with very much (procrastination) to do.

The frame has lots of tire clearance, and I was toying with the idea of seeing if 27.5" wheels would fit. Has anyone tried something like this? I'd still need decent sized tires (2.4"?) rubber of course. I don't know if the 26" Pike could handle it, but that's an easier fix.

...Or, if the BB would become too high.

I suppose the chance of success would increase if i flipped the ...er flipchip in the rockers to 140mm of rear travel.

What do you guys think? Is it worth trying?

Measurements show that it will fit mechanically, but there will only be a couple of millimeters clearence, so it really won't. Unless I mount 2.1" tires, and that I won't do!

Sorry Dazed, been away from the boards for a while, one thing you can try, is check with Sherwood if switching out the rear dropouts to the 650B version would help with the mechanical fit part. BB would still be higher. I think in 140 mode with the 650B dropouts it would clear, doubt that 150 will though.

It may be tight in the fork crown. A 26" Conti Rubber Queen is so tall it wont fit a 26" Marzochii 44 Ti

Trade that frame in. Get a new fork. Rebuild the rims and get yourself some 27.5x2.4" tires and get to work riding! No better thing to get you revved up to ride as a new frame anyway, might just be the motivation you're in need of.

27.5" on the front wheel. 26" on the back wheel. I did that with a Pivot 5.7 and have loved how it rides.
