    Vosges area, France

    Hi

    Has anyone been there?

We're planning a long weekend start of June and since we've never been there before we're a bit lost where to stay and ride. I think La Bresse is well known but since we're more for long-ish XC type rides (50-70 km/day) bike parks are of less interest.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It has been several decades since I have been to the Vosges, biking or skiing, but they are beautiful and crisscrossed with forest roads, cross country ski and bike trails, so it is hard to go wrong. There are small communities sprinkled throughout, so you are never very far from a cafe. I don't know what your lodging requirements are but if you search "Chambre d'hote,' Gites de France," or look for the smaller family run hotels and auberge, you can't go wrong there either. Look for cross country ski areas and you will find biking as well.
