Suggestions on Grand Canyon 3 day, 2 night trip with wife who's a good sport.

We are in our 50s and will be in Arizona the week after Labor Day. My wife isn't a mountain biker by nature, but is a good sport and said "sure" she would be open to riding in and around the GC.

Quiting while I'm ahead, a 5 day trip (which is what I find online) is too much. Are there outfits that do shorter trips? Or is there a good trail head destination point where we could ride from and get the GC experience?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

You want to go to the north rim of the GC up on the Kaibab plateau. The south rim is amazing but there are 3,579 buses of tourists there at all times. The north rim is even more amazing and nobody goes there (because it is harder to get to from PHX and Vegas).

As far as riding, there are several mellow single track trails on the north rim. Go to the AZ forum and search Kaibab.
