great ride story....pics bring back memories of my short hike on the AT back in the 90's...I remember thinking that it would be soooo much better on bike

gotta be careful of trespassing tho...won't help us in trying to secure access to trails we would want to be on...the whole "poaching" thing and all, but can't say that I am innocent of riding places I shouldn't...it's just usually on BMX...

Yeah, the bike really had no place on that trail. It should be reserved for foot traffic only. Next time I'll lock the bike in the woods and hike up. It didn't even occur to me to do so this time so yeah, lesson learned.

yeah...I could not imagine really riding many of the parts of the AT that we hiked.

The blog you have is set up really nicely!!! Will be cool to see more ride reports if you do them!

Yeah, nice pics and all but if this was the AT it’s completely off limits to bikes. Surprised there wasn’t signage. Probably for the best as somebody would get it into their head to bike Georgia to Maine. Then somebody would get the idea to do it as fast as possible. Then some crazy MF’er would downhill off Katahdin
