(x-post) Moab and Fruita tire recommenadation...

    Hi!

I'm taking a trip to Fruita and Moab from April 6th to the 16th and wondering what tires should i put on my bike...

I got two models to choose from:

    - Michelin XCR AT UST 2.0
    - Michelin XCR Dry UST 2.0

I've used the XCR AT all last season in our neck of the woods in New England and Quebec and love them for mud and type of soil we have here... Since it's completely different over there, i would like to know which tire should be best???

Or better yet, what tires do you use in Fruita and Moab?

    Thanks!

I've always preferred my Specialized Adreneline Pro 2.0's in Moab. Just enough casing width to float through the sand and they still roll fast and smooth enough to have some fun on the slickrock. Of course, I will take along some Tioga Factory XC Slick 1.85's for the actual Slickrock Trail. There isn't much sand on the Slickrock Trail or on Bartlett Wash and I've heard you don't need to worry so much about sand in Fruita either. Haven't been there, yet.
